Aspartame ( NutraSweet, Equal, Food Additive Number 951)

Genetically Engineered on E. coli, Aspartame is a drug masquerading as a "safe artificial sweetener". The story of corruption that accompanies its passage through the American Food and Drug Administration reads like Ripley's Believe It or Not. Employees went from the manufacturer to work for the FDA to perform the tests to get approval. Then they left the FDA to go back into the pay of the manufacturer!

The Diabetic Associations around the world accept substantial financial contributions from the manufacturers to push Aspartame while ignoring Stevia, the safe natural sweetener. Specialists state that Aspartame sends diabetics' systems so out of whack that they lose their eyesight & need more insulin than ever. The manufacturer-paid Aspartame trials had their results altered to produce favourable outcomes. In one trial a rat died & came to life again a few weeks later! Brain cancers were removed and then later autopsies showed that the test animals had no tumours!

Now in over 9,000 products, beverages, medications, pharmaceutical drugs, vitamin supplements, etc., Aspartame does not aid in a "diet" or weight loss program. Instead it is addictive, interferes with serotonin levels (depression & carbohydrate "off" switch) and causes the desire for carbohydrate foods which the body converts to long chains of fatty acids and stores as body fat. Worse still, a new form of the same drug, Neotame, has just been approved.

The FDA has a list of 92 symptoms as side effects from consuming Aspartame. Its effect in the body mimics diseases like MS and Fybromyalgia. In my own case, I lost a lot of eye movement, had constant headaches and migraines, was tested for brain tumours, MS, thyroid disease, Alzheimer's (I lost my photographic memory), and neurological disorders. I had a brain scan, a MRI scan, and a four hour neurological examination, 3 lots of hospitalisation, attacks of diarrhoea, long term outbreaks of hives - and I gained weight. I experienced a seizure, bouts of depression, my teeth loosened and fell out, but I didn't experience cancer or the ultimate symptom. death.

Aspartame, unstable in heat, at 34° C (5 degrees lower than body temperature), breaks down into: Aspartic acid - 40% - a neurotoxin - kills brain cells; Phenylalanine - 50% - reduces serotonin - causes depression; and Methanol - 10% or wood alcohol - added to methylated spirits to make it undrinkable as it turns to formaldehyde (embalming fluid) and formic acid (ant sting) in the body. Fruit and vegetables contain methanol too, but they contain many times more ethanol, the anti-dote to methanol. The Aust. & NZ Food Administration Standard 1.4.1, Table to Clause 3 gives the allowable level of Methanol for Red, white or fortified wine: 3 grams of methanol per litre of ethanol. None for 951!

Labels are supposed to carry the warning 'Phenylketaneurics: Contains Phenylalanine.' Aspartame (951) leaves a trail of human misery in its wake, causing male and female infertility, mood swings, hyperactivity and allergic reactions in children and worst of all, it destroys brain cells in young and old alike. It may take weeks or years for it to make a person very ill. Take the 60 day No Aspartame test. Change to Stevia. Let the poison work out of your system.
