I have often wondered why those standing by Terry Schiavo's bed while she was dying by judge's order, didn't slip her some water. She could sip water and even eat pudding but needed the feeding tube to get ENOUGH nutrition. The news was not real clear on this. The feeding tube was taken out but she should have been able to be kept alive yet some were saying the judge went further and dictated her to be murdered by dehydration.
Schiavo was the young woman who collapsed (probably from electrolyte imbalance caused by bulimia) and sustained a lot of brain damage. The news was saying she was brain dead and the CT scan showed that some of her brain had dissipated but a neurologist told me that this didn't mean anything - and that he had rehabbed cases like Terry. A doctor who told me up front he was "pro choice" about abortion, said that he was scandalized that Schiavo could be cruelly murdered like that - not even given the courtesy we give condemned criminals and that the news and her doctor could lie that she was brain dead.
Of course anyone who got on her website and saw the videos, one of which was Terry teasing that same doctor who had proclaimed her "brain dead", following his finger and doing all kinds of non brain dead things, could see Schiavo was very much alive even IN her brain.
She had a family who was willing to take care of her and an ex-husband who had already shacked up with another woman and sired her two kids, so it seemed a no brainer that the family would get custody of their daughter, Terry, but the court gave custody to the ex-husband and he was the one who fought for her death.
Oh-- he didn't care whether she lived or died but there was a trust fund from a lawsuit of a couple of million bucks which he would get if she died (and he had custody). People had killed for much less than that.
Sadly, Mr Schiavo is a nurse. I wonder if he eliminates annoying patients like he had his ex-wife eliminated.
When they removed the feeding tube, we knew they could keep her alive by giving her sips of water but this time, no one gave her water as the judge had ordered "nothing by mouth".
So why didn't anyone slip her some water? Fr Frank Pavone of Priests for life was by her bedside, praying for her with her parents and brother. Fr Pavone told us this morning that they also had FIVE armed guards standing around her bed, to make sure that the judge's order to murder her was carried out. That's why no one slipped her any water and she died the most painful death of dehydration.
Ironically, Fr Pavone told us, just inches from her parched dried lips, was a vase with flowers and water in it!
Five armed guards to make sure a handicapped young woman who had never committed a crime, never hurt anyone and who was loved by her family... to make sure this poor woman was killed. If that isn't Nazi-like, I don't know what is.
Like Fr Pavone said this am in his homily,
"If a public servant cannot tell the difference between SERVING the public and KILLING the public, he/she has NO BUSINESS being in office.return to: The Abortion Files Wide-net portal
